Chef Bill Pate
Executive Chef
Bill Pate is the Executive Chef of The Madison. Bill has been in the culinary industry for little over 15 years now. Working in multiple, well-known restaurants in the tri-state area and also in the Carolinas.
Bill's passion and love for this industry came from cooking with his mother, grandmother, and grandfather in the kitchen at a very young age. While attending Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Bill got his first kitchen job as a busser and dishwasher at Café Gallery in Burlington, NJ, He also bussed tables at Birches in Burlington. Bill moved up fairly quickly at Café Gallery, all the way to line cook.
After graduating high school, Bill went to the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute of America. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management.
Soon after college, Bill joined Café Madison in 2011, where he started as a line cook and worked his way all the way up to Sous Chef.
In 2014 Bill moved to the Carolinas where he wanted to experience the different cooking techniques and flavors of that region. He worked for Firebirds Wood Fired Grill as a sous chef, and worked for a company called Seven Oaks in Belmont, North Carolina as an executive Chef.
In 2018 Bill Returned home to New Jersey and started to work for Peddlers Village in Lahaska, PA as an Executive Sous Chef.
In 2022 Bill found his way back to The Madison, where his career started and he hasn’t looked back.
When Bill is not at The Madison, you can find him spending quality time with his fiancé Kelly and 2 sons Dom and Logan.
